Language Access

The City of Colorado Springs has a language access plan (LAP) and provides language access services at no charge to individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) who wish to utilize programs, services, or activities offered by the City. Fair Housing

The Fair Housing Act is a subsection of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. As amended, the Act prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of dwellings, and in other housing-related transactions, based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, and disability. Programs/Services/Activities

In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the City of Colorado Springs will not discriminate against individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.

Employment

The City of Colorado Springs does not discriminate on the basis of disability in its hiring or employment practices.

General Discrimination (Non-City)

The Colorado Civil Rights Division (CCRD) is charged with enforcement of the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (CADA). CADA prohibits discrimination based on protected class in employment, housing, and places of public accommodation. The CCRD enforces CADA primarily through the investigation of complaints of discrimination, but also through mediation and education.
