2023 CDBG Public Services and ESG Grant Awards Announcement
The City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division has awarded more than $340,000 in grants to nine Colorado Springs nonprofit organizations through two programs aimed at assisting low- to moderate-income individuals and families. The City receives these funds by formula grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Palmer Red Rock Trail reopens to the public following rockslide
Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services (PRCS) and the United States Forest Service (USFS) announced that the Palmer Red Rock Trail, also known as the Section 16 Trail or the National Forest System Trail 775, is now reopened to the public. The trail connection has been closed since the significant rockslide and destruction of a trail bridge in May of 2022.

Sun Country Airlines Begin Nonstop Service to Minneapolis/St. Paul at Colorado Springs Airport
The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) welcomed a new carrier to the COS roster this week. Sun Country Airlines will begin nonstop service twice a week to Minneapolis/ St. Paul (MSP) effective June 8, 2023 – September 4, 2023. Beginning September 5, 2023, service will go to one time a week through November 26, 2023.
