The Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department, along with project partners The Trust for Public Land (TPL), RISE | Southeast Colorado Springs, and El Paso County Public Health, is hosting a series of facilitated community stakeholder meetings to discuss activation, stewardship and safety ahead of the grand reopening of Panorama Park. The second of four meetings is Friday, April 8 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Carmel Community School (1740 Pepperwood Drive). A virtual attendance option is also available.
Additional meetings will be held May 13 and June 10. Located in southeast Colorado Springs near the intersection of Jet Wing Drive and Chelton Road, Panorama is currently undergoing the largest neighborhood park renovation in city history. The park is on track to reopen this summer.
Since Panorama was identified as a renovation site in 2019, the project has been a highly collaborative community process. TPL has led the community engagement strategy, allowing the community to help inform the park’s design, usage, programming and more.
