The City of Colorado Springs hosted a live Telephone Townhall on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 6 p.m. to engage with residents about public safety and emergency response. Mayor Yemi was joined at the townhall by Fire Chief Randy Royal and Deputy Police Chief Jeff Jensen. The call lasted just over one hour, allowing participants to ask live questions, participate in live polls and simply listen in. Those interested in listening to the tele-town hall, can do so by viewing the video below.
“I am committed to providing a government that is transparent, proactive and approachable,” said Mayor Yemi. “That is why we are trying this new way to engage with community members who might not otherwise have the chance to connect with the City. I see this as an exciting opportunity to hear from you and meet you where you are at, and I look forward to taking your live questions about public safety, which is my No. 1 priority as your Mayor.”
Residents were randomly selected by Telephone Townhall Meeting (TTHM) to participate.
